
About Susan Farron
Susan has a wealth of over 30 years experience in the golf industry and ranked Top 75 International Teaches by Golf Digest 2020. Susan played successfully as a New Zealand representative from 1989-1994 before turning professional and playing tours in Australia, Asia and then full time on the European LPGA tour until 2001. Susan is a fully qualified NZPGA professional.
Susan has a holistic approach and passion to her coaching. Including developing players understanding of linking functional movements , physical sequencing, relaxation, and the power of golf mindset to your overall enjoyment of the game.
Susan grew up in Palmerston North where she learnt her golf at the Manawatu Golf club. She was awarded Manawatu Sportsperson of the Year and turned professional and competed on the European Tour as well as Australian, Asia and US Futures Tour.
Highlights include competing in 1 US Open, 5 British Opens, 2 Evian Masters as well as many Australian and New Zealand Opens.
Susan is a fully qualified NZPGA Golf Professional. She has worked as NZ High Performance Coach and Head Coach of Auckland Women’s Golf Teams mentoring and guiding young development players into winning Auckland representatives with many turning to the professional ranks.
Susan was President of the NZPGA (New Zealand Professional Golfers Association)and the first ever women President of any World PGA Golf organisation from 2014-2017. Also a former trustee of the NZ Professional Women’s Golfers’ Organisation. The NZPWG provide opportunities for young aspiring New Zealand women professionals to compete in New Zealand as well as fundraise for women charities.
Susan was the 2018 NZ Open Speed Golf Women’s Champion. Susan and her husband Bernie have lived in Auckland for 20 years and although both met and played provincial golf together in Palmerston North are now proud to call Auckland home.
