Driving Tip

We all want to hit longer straighter drives.  For best results check your set up position before taking the club back

checkmark01 Check the ball is opposite your front inside heel position

checkmark01 The hands and club shaft remain level with the ball or just behind the ball at set up

checkmark01 Take a deep breath and exhale allowing your left arm to relax.  When doing this you will release the tension that often builds up around your neck, shoulders and arm area

Check the tee height.

  • For golfers with new modern drivers the tee height should be 3/4 higher than the top of the club. This is because most modern drivers have a 460cc size club head.
  • Make sure you maintain a level turn back and through with your shoulders. Any tilting or lowering can cause the ball to pop up too high in the sky.
